November 2009: FLASHHHHHHHHHH....As printed in the Heartland Frenchie Club Newsletter...
2009 FBDCA National in October in Boxboro, MA:
Shauna's dog had big wins at the National Specialty show. She bred CH
Shann's Goodtime In Hollywood who sired both the Winners Bitch and the Best of
Breed at the national. That dog's dam, CH Shann's Goodtime Celeste, won Best
Veteran and an Award of Merit. And CH Shann's Pudgybull Houdini (who won the
2005 National Specialty) won Best Veteran Dog this year. Also Shauna's dog Shann's
Hollywood Egomaniac was WD/BW and BOS at the October 11 Lawrence Jayhawk
Show.
Shann's French Bulldogs is synonymous with Quality, Integrity, and Excellence and the prefix is well known around the World. Shauna has been seriously involved with French Bulldogs for nearly 20 years and intends to continue dedication to the breed for many years to come.
Shauna has bred over 50 AKC Champions of record. She has produced an All Breed Best In Show Winner, Westminster Winners, National and Regional Specialty Winners, Award of Merit Winners, #1 Bitch in the USA, multiple Group Winners, National Winning Veterans, and various Top 10 French Bulldogs. Although she does not have any human children to brag about, she is proud of her four-legged children and their accomplishments! Frenchies are not a business, they are a passion and showing & breeding is an expensive hobby.
My stud dogs not offered for outside (public) breeding purposes and any available adults or puppies are spayed or neutered before they are available for adoption. I breed selectively and on a limited basis for ourselves, however there are occasional companion pups available for qualified homes. Each year only a small number of puppies are offered to pre-approved parties. Any prospective homes for Shann's puppies must pass strict criteria and a detailed series of interviews, beginning with our questionnaire (application). Serious inquiries may contact me privately for details.
When a party qualifies for ownership, the puppy must live in the owner's living quarters and become a family member. I only consider homes where our Frenchies will be provided loving attention and stimulation throughout the day. I do not believe that Frenchies thrive living alone for the majority of their waking hours. French Bulldogs are social creatures and desire the bonding and relationship of human interaction. The majority of owners of "Shann's Frenchies" work at home, take their dogs to work with them, or always have someone in their house with the puppy or dog.
Once again, thank you for visiting Shann's Frenchies. Bat-Eared Best to you, Shauna
