*Please be advised: Frenchies are not for everyone. Please do your homework and become very educated and familiar before making a commitment to add a new bat-eared family member.
*If you are sincerely dedicated to adoption, contact me regarding availability. I only offer puppies and adult retirees on a very limited basis. If I don't have a Frenchie available, I can help guide you to a responsible, reputable breeder who has the best interest of the breed at heart. You may request our Application for Ownership by emailing me at: shannsfrenchies@yahoo.com Serious Inquiries only, please.
We breed selectively and on a limited basis for ourselves, however there are occasional companion pups available for qualified homes. Each year only a small number of puppies are offered to pre-approved parties. Any prospective homes for Shann's puppies must pass strict criteria and a detailed series of interviews, beginning with our questionnaire (application). Serious inquiries may contact us privately for details.
When a party qualifies for ownership, the puppy must live in the owner's living quarters and become a family member. We only consider homes where our Frenchies will be provided loving attention and stimulation throughout the day. We do not believe that Frenchies thrive living alone for the majority of their waking hours. French Bulldogs are social creatures and desire the bonding and relationship of human interaction. The majority of owners of "Shann's Frenchies" work at home, take their dogs to work with them, or always have someone in their house with the puppy or dog
Adult Retirees for Adoption: Although rarely available, our adult Frenchies are healthy, well-trained dogs who have retired from showing/breeding and are lovely companions. They are our treasured house pets, as we do not have a kennel situation. Our dogs live in our home with us and receive a great deal of human interaction on a daily basis. When available, we are looking for "Forever Families" for these special dogs and adoption fees will vary. All are spayed or neutered before they leave for their new homes and range from 1 to 4 years of age. These dogs are our special companions and we take their placements and adoptions very seriously. If you have sincere interest, you may request our questionnaire to be considered as a prospective owner. *Please completely fill out the application in detail.
*As written perfectly by D. Johnson:
"This decision is generally more difficult for the breeder, but they know it is in the best interests of the animal. We place them in a life where they are in a home instead of a kennel, or where they become one of a few rather than one of several. This helps the breeder to maintain a manageable number of dogs in a breeding program at one time. This is a win-win situation for both adopted family and breeder. It is a gift that we, as responsible breeders, can give our dogs once they have produced puppies that will benefit the breed in general. "
